In this depiction, the iaidoka (a person who practices the art of sword drawing) can be seen as executing the last phase of a kirioroshi (two handed cut down) with a batto morote (two handed drawn sword). The sword is held with a 90 degree angle and that makes it impossible for one to see the torii (curvature) of the katana.
Females have a better understanding of the movement range and capabilities of the human body which makes them generally more agile than the males are. But even a creation like that lacks in some points such as mechanical and practical querry. At that point, the concept of balance comes to the mind. Whenever someone sees a person who is capable of maintaining a balance between the male and female perceptions, he/she thinks that the subject is either interesting or attractive. And as always; maybe I am totally wrong. But a female, wielding a katana and executing a series of moves which is surely at the mechanical side of the human behavioral scala, makes me think that there is certainly a degree of attractive balance between feminity and a manly manner. Just like the katana (being masculine as its nature, but at the same time embracing a feminine beauty in its curved structure - and seems like a fragile object but it is designed to penetrate even through the thickest materials). Something like; humanity coming in a small packages.
Technical information about the piece: Used an HB to sketch out the figure and posture and then a 8B to advance further the tone and shading. On an A4 as usual.
